Piaget recently unveiled five stunning new novelties at Watches & Wonders Geneva to highlight its embodiment of creativity and savoir faire.
Known for its craftsmanship and everlasting designs, Piaget reveals classy new creations from its historic collection.
1. Limelight Gala High Jewellery
Truly this timepiece stays true to its name. Its exterior – covered in over 250 diamonds – draws you in. So much more than an accessory, this watch is a symbol of decades of goldsmithing and gem-setting experience at the highest level. A singular piece alone takes almost over 175 hours to complete. It’s crafted in 18K white gold and has a fully integrated case and diamond-set bracelet.
Limelight Gala Precious
The highlight of the Limelight Gala Precious is its colour gradient, a strong contrast against the malachite dial. This 32mm white gold case counts 174 diamonds and 22 tsavorites and takes 22 hours just for the case and gem-setting. It is powered by a Manufacture automatic movement 501P1 that is on full view behind the sapphire caseback. It is truly a timepiece that showcases Piaget’s passion for colour pairing and shading.
Limelight Gala Adventurine
Subtle yet classy, the Limelight Gala Adventurine finds inspiration in the magic and mystery of the night sky. It is housed in a 32mm white gold case adorned with swirls of 62 diamonds set on two elongated lugs. To complete the look, it features a magical adventurine-glass dial. This timepiece is limited edition, with only 300 pieces available.
Altiplano Ultimate Concept (AUC)
One can’t help but to admire the sleek nature of the Altiplano Ultimate Concept (AUC). This recreation is one for the passionate collector. It is a celebration of the first AUC, with recognisable features all around. The Piaget logo is in the same historic typeface as that used in the manufacturer, a tribute to the village – La Côte aux Fées – where Piaget was born.
Two enlarged circles sit among the dots of the minute ring, marking the time 7.47pm when the AUC had its first beat. The birth of AUC is also inscribed within a small window. La Côte aux Fées is also engraved onto the ratchet wheel along with the manufacturer’s GPS coordinates. Finishing off this stunning tribute piece, the watch’s mainplate features stars illuminated with Super-LumiNova that replicate the sky above La Côte aux Fées on the AUC’s special day.
Piaget Polo Skeleton
The timepiece features a 1200S1 self-winding ultra-thin skeleton Manufacture calibre at its heart. Not only is it the world’s thinnest mechanical self-winding movement, but it’s also only ultra-thin at 2.4mm. Hugged by a 42mm white gold case, it is Piaget’s pinnacle of skeletonisation. Although thin, the Polo Skeleton features 44 hours of power reserve with a water-resistance of 30 metres.
